Wall Street ends mixed amid M&A activities, Ukraine worries

NEW YORK, April 28 (Xinhua) — U.S. stocks closed mixed after fluctuating Monday, as investors weighed the market boost from vigorous merger and acquisition (M&A) deals against increasing concerns over Ukraine. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 87.28 points, or 0.53 percent, to 16,448.74. The S&P 500 rose 6.03 points, or 0.32 percent, to 1,869.43. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 1.16 points, or 0.03 percent, to 4,074.40.
